Camp Karoondinha
It literally opens to a storybook perfect Boy Scout Camp with well-marked trails and beautiful scenery right out the front door.
Penns Creek Path
No trip to Penns Creek would be complete with a visit to Penns Creek Path. This is the Penns Creek spur of the Mid-State Trail, and it’s simply stunning. Paralleling Penns Creek on an old railroad bed of the Lewisburg and Tyrone Railroad, the trail is beautifully maintained and open for year-round enjoyment.

Want to witness the original forests of Penns Creek? Back before the state was clear cut for lumber in the late 1800s and early 1900s? Then hike Tall Timbers from Snyder Middleswarth State Park, about six miles from the cabin. It’s home to one of the last strands of old-growth trees in Pennsylvania
