More than a cabin.

We use the term cabin loosely. While private, Oakwood on Penns Creek has been completely remodeled with comfortable accommodations that sleep 10 within its two private bedrooms, a second-floor bunkhouse, and a few sofas for good measure. A hand-built stone fireplace anchors the home, two spans of 10-foot windows command views of Penns Creek. A fully-equipped, brand new kitchen sports imported cabinetry, and an imported Italian ship ladder staircase accesses the upstairs bunkhouse.

Amenities

  • Three queen-sized beds and two twins

  • Two first-floor private bedrooms

  • Second-floor bunkhouse with two twin beds and two pullout futons

  • New full bathroom

  • Fully-equipped kitchen

  • Washer and dryer

  • Wifi

  • Wood-burning fireplace

Meet your hosts

The Matuskys are a family of creative adventurers and entrepreneurs who more than anything love to get things done. In summer 2020, the family bought the cabin next to Pinewood on Penns Creek, the family cabin they have owned since 1998. Oakwood on Penns Creek now gives them the chance to realize a new dream of sharing the Penns Creek experience with families and fisherpeople looking for an authentic Pennsylvania adventure.
