Union County Sportsman’s Club

The Union County Sportsman’s Club is open five days a week for lunch and dinner. Technically, a membership club, anyone can eat there. To drink, you need to be a member, which is no more expensive or complicated than going to the bar and asking the bartender to join. He or she will solicit two sponsors and the annual membership will set you back about $20. The dining rooms sports the most taxidermy per capita in the world, with all Pennsylvania wildlife represented on its walls. There’s a playground and mini-golf course for kids, and a trout pond. The wildlife zoo is a throw back to pre-PETA days, and needs to be taken for what it’s worth.
