The Purple Cow

The Purple Cow, along Rt. 45 near Lewisburg, is our family’s favorite ice cream spot in the valley. It’s a bit of a drive from Oakwood, about 30 minutes east, but it’s well worth it theirs is the creamiest of all. If you really want to earn it, pack up a few of the bikes and drive to Mifflinburg to park. Ride the rest of the way along the Buffalo Valley Rail Trail and stop at the Purple Cow for a refreshing treat and a decent meal. Great way to spend a hot (but not too hot) summer day!
